The City has issued the following notice regarding upcoming construction on Main Street West: overnight work and some lane closures on Main Street West, 1) Locke St S, and 2) Margaret St.

Project:  Main St W, Watermain Lining - Contract C13-03-24(2026)

Dates: May 19 & 22, 2026 [NOTICE]

Work Hours: Overnight, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM [Weather permitting]

Water shutdowns may occur. Affected homes will receive notice.

To minimize impacts to daytime water use and rush-hour traffic, this work must be completed overnight. Please note that there will be increased noise during evening hours. Crews will make every effort to complete the work efficiently and reduce disruption where possible.

• Lane closed for one block from 9 AM to 3 PM. Sidewalks open, cyclists must dismount and walk their bikes 55 m to the intersection, and vehicles are rerouted to Pearl St S.
